I was born in Jamaica, grew up on the southern tip by Negril. At the age of 10 I relocated to the Italian part of The Bronx. I picked up a camera when I was 12 at our Lady Of Grace Catholic School. I took pictures of the nuns and school events. In high school I ran cross country, I had the honor of being the fasted kid in new york in 1980 by winning the Van Cortland Park Invertainonal. I spent my senior year as part of the year book staff. After high school I joined the Marines, bought my first camera a cannon A-1 when I was 19. When I was 20 I went to Japan for the first time. I sent my mom pictures back from there, she made a comment that I when I get out of the Marines and open a studio, thought that she was just being a mom. While in the Marines, I put together a few yearbooks for my unit. While in Thailand in 1988 I had a few pictures published in Stars and Stripes. In 1998 I got out of the Marines and open my first Studio in Phoenix. During this time, I studied with a Master Photographer by the name of Donald Jack. He helped to hone my skills and after a few years in 2002, I was nominated the 4th best Wedding Photographer in the State of Arizona, in an area with over 1,000 wedding photographers that is not too bad. I move to Sedona in 2004, one of the great things about Sedona is that she forces you to be who you are. As a young man swore that I would never do landscapes, after moving here I have learned to embrace that portion of photography. I look forward to creating those memories that will last a life time. |
